This article summarizes the most common issues and solutions when using AiBooster.
Connection Issues
Cannot Connect to Any Node
Possible Causes:
- Network connection issues
- All nodes unavailable
- Subscription expired
Solutions:
- Check if network is normal (can you access other sites)
- Update subscription to get latest nodes
- Try different nodes
- Check subscription validity
No Internet After Connecting
Possible Causes:
- DNS configuration issues
- Routing rules misconfigured
- System proxy not effective
Solutions:
- Try changing DNS to
8.8.8.8or1.1.1.1 - Switch to Global Mode for testing
- Restart app or device
Unstable Connection/Frequent Disconnects
Possible Causes:
- Unstable network
- Poor node quality
- System sleep causing disconnect
Solutions:
- Switch to lower latency node
- Check for other VPN software conflicts
- Disable battery optimization (mobile)
- Enable "Keep awake" option
Speed Issues
Slow Speed
Troubleshooting Steps:

Test direct connection speed
- Disconnect proxy, test speed
- If also slow directly, it's a local network issue

Change node
- Use latency test to find fastest node
- Try nodes in different regions

Check protocol
- Some protocols may be throttled
- Try TUIC, Hysteria2, etc.

Optimize settings
- Disable unnecessary features
- Use TUN mode
High Latency
Solutions:
- Choose geographically closer nodes
- Check for DNS leaks
- Try different protocols
Application Issues
App Won't Start
Windows:
- Check if VC++ Runtime is installed
- Run as Administrator
- Check if antivirus is blocking
macOS:
- Allow app in system settings
- Check if system extension is installed
- Reset app permissions
Linux:
- Check if dependencies are complete
- Check execute permissions
- View log files
TUN Mode Won't Enable
Solutions:
# Windows - Administrator Command Prompt
netsh winsock reset
# Restart computer
# macOS - Check system extension
systemextensionsctl list
# Linux - Set permissions
sudo setcap cap_net_admin+ep /path/to/aiboosterSubscription Update Failed
- Check if subscription link is correct
- Try using proxy to access subscription
- Manually test subscription link in browser
- Contact subscription provider
System Related
Windows Firewall Blocking
- Open Windows Security Center
- Firewall & network protection
- Allow an app through firewall
- Find AiBooster and allow
macOS System Extension Issues
- Open System Settings β Privacy & Security
- Click "Allow" for system extension
- Restart computer
- Reopen AiBooster
High Battery Drain on Phone
- Check if unnecessary features are enabled
- Reduce subscription update frequency
- Disconnect when not in use
Logs & Diagnostics
Export Logs
- Go to Settings β About
- Tap Export Logs
- Save log file
